Meerut Murder Case: Muskaan And Sahil Planned Saurabh’s Killing After Eight Days Of Rehearsal
Meerut, 25th March 2025: In a shocking revelation regarding the murder of Saurabh Rajput, authorities have uncovered that his wife Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla rehearsed for eight days before executing the crime.
The couple, both 27, allegedly plotted the murder on March 4, after which they dismembered Saurabh’s body and concealed it in a cement-filled drum. The gruesome details emerged during police investigations following their arrest on March 18, when the body was discovered in their Meerut residence.
Muskaan and Sahil’s relationship reportedly began when Saurabh was working abroad, leading to marital discord. According to police sources, the couple feared that Saurabh would end their drug-fueled lifestyle, prompting them to conspire against him.
“They were deeply involved in drug use and had been planning this for some time,” said Dr. Vipin Tada, Senior Superintendent of Police in Meerut.
Witness accounts describe Muskaan as a well-behaved individual who shocked her community with her actions. A neighbor remarked, “I never imagined she could do something like this.”
After the murder, the couple traveled to Himachal Pradesh for a vacation, appearing carefree despite their heinous act. Upon returning, they attempted to dispose of the body but failed due to the drum’s weight, which raised suspicions among local laborers.
Muskaan’s parents have since disowned her, stating they cannot support her after such a “heinous crime.” Her mother, Kavita Rastogi, expressed their emotional turmoil but emphasized the severity of the situation. “Just as an infected body part is cut off, we have cut ties with her,” she stated.
The case has drawn significant media attention due to its shocking nature and the couple’s alleged drug use. As investigations continue, authorities are working towards a fast-track trial to address the serious charges against Muskaan and Sahil.
