Meet Barber Santosh Kashid who designs faces on head with scissor

Satara: Nagraj Manjule’s film Sairat has created history in Marathi film world since its release about three months back and now a barber in Satara is creating history by designing face of Archi, the film’s lead female protagonist, on people’s heads. Not with paint brush but with his scissor.

In the last one year, Santosh Kashid, the hair stylist from Karad in  Satara district, has designed images of Lord Ganesha and King Shivaji Maharaj. Kashid runs his salon in Ogalewadi in Karad town of the district.

Youths in Maharashtra have been mesmerized by the love story of Parshya and Archi in the film.

Omkar Kamble, a fan of Archi, has watched the movie 37 times till now. When he learnt about Kashid’s talent, Kamble got the image of Archi engraved on his head from Kashid. It took about three hours for Kashid to replicate Archi’s face on Kamble’s head.

You bring the photo and Kashid will design that on your head through his hair cutting style.

Now such has been his fame that everyday people call to take appointments for getting their favorite design made on their heads.
