Mega job fair – 320 Candidates selected, 675 shortlisted in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, 7 March ’19: Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) in association with World Memon Organisation (WMO) and Aurangabad Halal Memon Jamat (AHMJA) organized a Mega Job Fair in Aurangabad on Sat, 2nd March, 2019, which was a huge success.
The Job Fair was conducted at Amanullah Motiwala Function Hall, Aurangabad Halai Memon Jamat Khana to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed mainstream Corporates and to provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of caste and creed. Through this unique event, the organizers endeavoured to give back to the Nation what they have received by helping the youth get Jobs.
Inauguration of the Mega Job Fair took place at the hands of Mr. Haji Yunus Motiwala (President – Aurangabad Halai Memon Jamat). Dignitaries on the Dias included Mr. Maqsood Naviwala (WMO City Chairman Aurangabad), Mrs. Masheela Maqsood Naviwala (Trustee WMO NIC), Mr. Mudassar Patel (Social Worker), Mr. Atiq Motiwala (President – Youth Wing Aurangabad Memon Jamat), Mr. Haji Ali (General Secretary – Youth Wing Aurangabad Memon Jamat).
The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The dignitaries on the Dias were felicitated by floral bouquets and mementos by World Memon Organization-India President, Mr. Ehsan Gadawala. Mrs. Masheela Maqsood Naviwala (Trustee WMO NIC) said that she was happy to see the participation and contribution of girls in this Mega Job Fair. She has extended support to the women cell of AMP Aurangabad Chapter in future activities focused on Education and Employment. Mr. Siddiq Motiwala took efforts in getting the venue and other logistical arrangements done to conduct this Mega Job Fair smoothly.
45 Corporates from across various industries had participated in this Job Fair with a massive turnout of 1480 candidates. At the end of the day around 320 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while 675 were shortlisted for the next round of selection. Mr. Ehsan Gadawala, President, WMO-India, said “Organising this Job Fair is our small way of contributing for Nation Building. By helping unemployed youths get jobs, we help in Community development and thus development of the Nation. We look forward conducting more such Job Fairs in the coming days in association with AMP”.
Mr. Atiq Motiwala, President – Youth Wing AHMJA, said, “I was delighted with the overwhelming response towards the Job fair. AHMJA is very happy to associate with this noble cause which would lead towards the uplifment of the Community and Society”, Mr. Iftekhar Shaikh, Head-AMP Employment Assistance Cell said, “AMP has so far organized 33 Mega Job Fairs till date and 250+ of Job Drives in the last 7 years and helped placing more than 15,000 candidates during these initiatives across more than 95 AMP Chapters all over the Country. We aim to place 5000+ candidates through AMP Job Fairs ; Job Drives in 2019. We are now getting into the next phase of our growth, where we will be focusing on Skill Training Initiatives through which we will train 10000+ lowly educated youths and bring them into the mainstream through Skill Development”.
Dr. Syed Mohsin, Chapter Head of AMP Aurangabad Team said, “AMP has repeatedly worked for the Indian Youth since the last 7 years by organising many Job Fairs. We are partnering ; collaborating with like-minded organisations like WMO and various Government agencies across the Country, to give the right opportunity for our youth so they can transform their lives for the better and significantly contribute to India’s growth story. We seek to be the bridge between the Corporates, Government agencies and the Unemployed/Underemployed youth. We firmly believe in the ideology of Economic Empowerment through creation of job opportunities”.
Mr. Syed Mujtaba Umair, Aurangabad Senior Team member said, “At AMP, we try our best to give the right opportunities to the youth through entry and middle level jobs. Once you have provided the youngsters with relevant jobs, it doesn’t take too long to transform and empower them so they too can contribute significantly to India’s growth story”.
The event was a result of dedication and hard work of AMP Central Team and Aurangabad Team Members which includes Mr. Syed Naseer Hyder, Mr. Khwaja Muzammil, Dr. Amreen Fatema, Mr. Syed Farees, Mr. Syed Asif, Mr. Mushahed Nadeem, Miss. Ayesha, Mr. Amanullah Khan and all the volunteers under which the Job Fair Project is run. The WMO team members and AHMJA team along with their volunteers also supported the AMP Team and the Police personnel managed the crowd ably.
