New Delhi, 28th May 2022: The Ministry of Defence has extended the deadline till June 25, 2022, to complete the process of the Annual Identity/Life Certificate for defence pensioners who have not yet completed the same. If this process is not completed, then there may be an interruption in pension.

As per the data, 34,636 pensioners have not completed their annual identification either online or through their respective banks till November 2021.

The monthly pension for April 2022 was deposited through a special one-time exemption for 58,275 pensioners (out of 4.47 lakh migrant pensioners at SPARSH) as their annual identity details were not verified by their respective banks till the end of the month. could be done.

This process of annual identity/life certification is a statutory requirement for continuous and timely credit of monthly pension. The initial exemption for the absence of annual identity/life certification was given by the Ministry of Defence till 25 May 2022 and has now been extended till 25 June 2022
