Minor gang raped in Mercedes car in Hyderabad, accused are minors including MLA’s son

Hyderabad, Friday, 3 June 2022:The incident happened on Saturday. Initially a case was registered against the three accused involved in the incident under Section 354 of the IPC and POCSO Act. The 17-year-old-girl was sent for a medical examination.

A case of gang rape with a minor girl in a Mercedes car has come to light in Hyderabad. According to police sources, all the accused, including the son of an MLA, are minors and are students of class 11th and 12th. The incident happened on May 28 i.e Saturday but the girl’s father lodged a complaint against the accused on Wednesday, June 1.

Police first registered a case under section 354 of IPC and POCSO Act at Jubilee Hills police station, but after the statement of the girl, a rape case has been registered by changing the sections and further investigation is on. So far no one has been arrested.

According to the complaint, the victim had gone to the pub on Saturday evening to attend a party hosted by a friend. At the party, he met the accused, who said that he would drop him home. After this the girl sat in the Mercedes car, in which three-four boys were already riding. Police say that the boys beat up the girl after stopping the car at a secluded place in the dark. However, the police is still refraining from saying anything on the rape by saying that the medical report is coming.

A senior police officer said the son of an MLA and the chairman of the minority board were present at the party and accompanied the girl. The victim was able to identify and name only one accused. Police are trying to identify the accused from the CCTV footage installed nearby.
