Missing Businessman Gautam Pashankar Found In Jaipur by Pune Police Crime Branch

Pune, November 24, 2020: Exactly after a month, famous businessman Gautam Pashankar who went missing from Shivajinagar has been tracked down by the sleuths of Crime Branch Unit-1, at a hotel in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The disappearance of 64-year-old Pashankar, chairman of the famous Pashankar Automobiles, had created chaos amongst the city’s industrial sector. Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta had directed Crime branch Pune city to make special efforts to trace Pashankar.

The incident came to light after the family members filed a missing person complaint with the Shivajinagar Police Station on October 21. The probe had revealed that a suicide note of Pashankar too found. In the suicide note, he mentioned committing suicide step due to financial losses in the business.

DCP (Crime Branch) Bachchan Singh told Punekarnews.in, “Unit-1 team led by Inspector Sunil Takawale was working on missing case since the start and had traced him to Kolhapur last time. He got input from his sources that Pashankar may have traveled out of state and workout was going on the same. Today a team of Unit-1 crime branch led by Sub Inspector Sanjay Gaikwad tracked Pashankar to hotel Chandragupta in Jaipur.”

According to police officials, prima-facie, it is understood that Pashankar traveled to various cities. He traveled from Pune-Kolhapur-Bengaluru-Coimbatore-Kolkata- Delhi-Jaipur by train. At Jaipur, he had checked in hotel Chandragupta on 20th November and was living there when Unit-1 team tracked him.

“The unit-1 team is in the process of getting Pashankar back to Pune as soon as possible. Further investigation in the missing case is being done by Unit-1 crime branch”, DCP Singh informed.
