MIT ADT University Pune’s Institution Innovation Council rated 5 STAR by the Central Ministry of Education
Pune, 20 October 2020 : Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of MIT Art, Design, and Technology University (IIC-MITADT) is crowned with a prestigious 5 STAR rating for the Annual Performance for Academic Year 2019-20.
IIC-MITADTU is the new initiative by the Ministry of Education and AICTE to nurture innovation and entrepreneurial skills among young students’ minds. Out of 1110 institutions listed in the IIC star ratings, 115 institutions across the country received 5 STAR based on their performance in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, along with Mr. Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre, Minister of State, Ministry of Education (MoE), announced the ratings on October 15, 2020, on the occasion of National Innovation Day.
MIT Art, Design & Technology University Pune has been ranked in the TOP 50 Institutions across India out of 1700+ IICs. The top-performing IIC Institutions have been appreciated during this online conference and IIC3.0 calendar activities and programs for HEIs were released for the calendar year 2020-21. IIC-MITADT University initiated and organized a Smart India hackathon, Design thinking workshops, Entrepreneurship boot – camps, Leadership Talks, National Innovation contest, and Webinar on future technologies for the students and faculties. This is really a proud moment for the MIT ADT University, especially in the context of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiatives taken at the campus.
Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive President, and Vice-chancellor congratulated Prof. Dr. Virendra Bhojwani, President IIC-MIT ADT University, and team IIC-MITADT University for the outstanding achievement. 4 Teams were shortlisted for the Finals at Nationals in SIH2020 and around 3 students bagged the incubation support for their start-up.
