‘Mitra Mahotsav’, a musical treat for the Puneites
Pune, November 19, 2018: Mitra Mahotsav, organized by Mitra Foundation, a treat for the music connoisseurs of Pune is all set to take place on November 24, Saturday and 25, Sunday. The two-day long festival will take place at Pandit Farms, Karve Nagar on 5.30 pm onwards. The ticket for the festival costs Rs. 100 informed Dhananajay Gokhale, Chairman, Mitra Foundation.
Gokhale said that we each year try to bring some captivating musical festivals to the city. Puneites will get an opportunity to get soaked in a musical fiesta ‘Mitra Mahotsav’. In this two-day festival Classical Vocalist from Kirana Gharana, Anand Bhate,will mesmerize audience on the very first day of the festival i.e. November 24, Saturday. He will be accompanied by SuyogKundalkar (Harmonium), BharatKamat (Tabla). On the same day Acclaimed Violionist N. Rajam, will enthrall the audience with her performance. She will be accompanied by Nandini Shankar (Violin) and SaurabhKardikar (Tabla).
To delight the audience on second day i.e. November 25, Sunday Sarod Maestro, Ayaan Ali Bangashwill mesmerize the audience. And he will be accompanied by Satyajeet Talwalkaron Tabla. Renowned Vocalist KaushikiChakrabortyfrom Patiala Gharana will come up with her vocal performance. She will be accompanied by Tanmay Deochake on Harmonium and Satyajeet Talwalkaron Tabla.
The registration begins from November 19 at Pandit Farms, Navdikar Musicals, Kothrud and Shirish Traders, Kamla Nehru Park.
Mitra Foundation each year felicitates Gaurav Nidhi to the senior guru. This year the Gaurav Nidhi is provided to Kusumtai Sohani at the hands of N. Rajam. By now the foundation has provided Gaurav Nidhi to 55 Senior gurus. Gaurav Nidhi is given as a token amount of 11,000 since 2005.
