Modi Government Announces Health Insurance For Children Orphaned By COVID

New Delhi, 5th August 2021: The Modi government has announced health insurance for children orphaned by Corona. Union Minister Anurag Thakur has given this information.

 

According to the announcement of the Central Government, free health insurance of Rs 5 lakh will be given to children up to the age of 18 years, who were orphaned due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic. Thakur said the premium would be paid from the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Emergency Situations Relief Fund (PM-CARES).

 

Thakur has posted details of the scheme on Twitter along with a link to a government website on the steps taken by the Center to make India self-reliant.

 

Thakur wrote in his tweet, “As part of the steps taken to take care of children affected by Covid, children up to 18 years will be given free health insurance of Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat and its premium will be paid by PM Cares.”
