More than 800 Punekars took part in second Promo Run in preparation of the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Mumbai Half Marathon

Pune, 7th May 2017: The 2nd edition of the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Mumbai Half Marathon kicked-off with Promo Runs in Mumbai on April 16, followed by Pune today. The run was flagged off from BMCC College by Inspector General, Maharashtra Police Mr. Krishna Prakash at 6.30 am in Pune today. The crowd was addressed by Karthik Raman, CMO, IDBI Federal Life Insurance and Race Director, Nagaraj Adiga.

More than 800 Punekars graced the Promo Run in Pune encouraging runners to register for the marathon. It was organized by NEB Sports along with IDBI Federal Life Insurance to inspire and urge fitness, running and healthy life amongst Punekars.

The 2nd Promo Run, witnessed an enthusiastic bunch of Punekars showcase their running skills and the desire to lead a healthy life. This run saw people from across all age groups including men, women, families, youngsters, senior citizens and children.

To spread the fitness virus, various Promo Runs and Training Runs will take place in the upcoming months in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. This year, the 24-hour Stadium Run will be organized at the University Stadium on 11th of June in Mumbai.

Registrations for all four categories; 21.6K Half Maratho(Minimum Age – 18 as on 20th Aug 2017), 10K Timed Run (Minimum Age – 15 as on 20th Aug 2017), and 5K Heritage Run (Minimum Age – 10 as on 20th Aug 2017) is now open. Enthusiastic runners across the country can register online by logging on to www.mumbaihalfmarathon.com. The 2nd edition of IDBI Federal Life Insurance Mumbai Half Marathon will be flagged off on Sunday, 20th August 2017.

Sachin Tendulkar continues to be the face of the event for the IDBI Federal Life Insurance marathons in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata and will flag off the run to cheer the runners.
