Mountain Run organized by Giripremi received enormous response

Pune, December 9 – ‘Mountain Run’ and Walkathon organized by Giripremi on the occasion of International Mountain Day were concluded on the Sunday on Vetal Hills.
More than 450 mountain enthusiasts participated in the run. The run was conducted in three categories. 10 Kilometers Pro, 10 Kilometers Amateur and 5 Kilometers Kids. Whereas open category 5 kilometers Walkathon was also conducted for non- regular runners. Three male and three female winners from each category were selected.
The award Ceremony of the Run was conducted in the presence Vasant Kate (CMD, Yashada Realty), Rohidas Gaware (Industrialist), Mrunalini Bhosale (Principal, Vikhe Patil Memorial School), Smt. Shreelakshmi Annabathula (Deputy Conservator, Forest Department, Pune) and Anand Palande (Trustee, Giripremi) Mountain Enthusiast from all over the Maharashtra participated in the run.
This was the second year of the run and it received enormous response from across age groups. It helped in the cause of ‘Save Mountains’ and helped to reach maximum people about the awareness of preservation of Mountain Eco System. The Mountain Run is recognized by United Nations and it is a part of UN’s worldwide celebration of International Mountain Day.
Tuesday, on International Mountain Day, Giripremi will worship the mountains in quarries at Hanuman Hill near Fergusson College.
