MP Supriya Sule demands to make a plan for Fort conservation

Pune, 2 March 2021: Member of Parliament Supriya Sule demanded that on the grounds of beautification and conservation of Shivneri and Raigad, forts like Sinhgad, Rajgad, Rohida, and Raireshwar should be developed.

She made the demand by writing a letter to Cultural minister Amit Deshmukh, minister of forest for state Dattatray Bharane. In the letter, she mentioned that Baramati Loksabha Constituency has a historical background. Lakhs of visitors visit Sinhgad, Rajgad, Rohida, and Raireshwar.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj took the oath of Swaraj at Raireshwar while Rajgad was his capital for 25 years. We need to conserve the historical importance of these forts for the coming generation. At the same time, we also need to preserve the environment”, Sule mentioned in the letter.
