Mumbai, 18th March 2025: Reliance Jio, India’s leading telecom operator, has unveiled an exclusive offer for cricket enthusiasts ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. The company is providing a 90-day free JioHotstar subscription and a 50-day free trial of JioFiber or JioAirFiber to both new and existing Jio SIM users who recharge with a plan of Rs 299 or above.
The offer, which runs from March 17 to March 31, 2025, allows customers to watch every IPL match in stunning 4K resolution on their TV or mobile devices. Additionally, users can experience ultra-fast internet with JioFiber or JioAirFiber, which includes access to over 800 TV channels, more than 11 OTT applications, and unlimited WiFi connectivity.
Reliance Jio spokesperson said, “With just a Jio SIM and a plan of Rs. 299 or above, customers can experience the ultimate cricketing season like never before.”
To avail of the offer, existing Jio SIM users need to recharge with a plan of Rs 299 or higher, while new customers must purchase a Jio SIM and activate a Rs 299 plan or above. Those who have already recharged before March 17 can opt for a Rs 100 add-on pack to activate the offer.
The JioHotstar subscription will be activated on March 22, 2025, coinciding with the opening day of the IPL season, and will remain valid for 90 days. This strategic move by Reliance Jio comes in the wake of a major media merger in November 2024, which saw Viacom18 Media Private Limited, JioCinema, and Star India Private Limited unite under a new media conglomerate.
Industry analysts believe this offer could potentially boost Jio’s user base and encourage existing users to opt for higher-value recharges. The promotion is seen as a significant step in Reliance’s efforts to dominate both the telecom and media streaming markets in India.
