Mumbai man dies of Coronavirus, third death in country

Mumbai, March 17,2020: The death of a 63-year-old male patient has been confirmed due to COVID-19.

The COVID-19 positive patient was in a private hospital for five days, and was subsequently referred to the Kasturba Hospital, Mumbai.

The patient had travel history to Dubai, which he reportedly did not disclose at the time of his admission to the private hospital. His wife is COVID-19 positive and stable, health ministry issued a statement.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country is 125, as of now. In Pune, there are 16 positive cases while in Maharashtra the number has reached 39.

Provide facilities of food, TV sets, carrom boards at quarantine places

To identify persons who have been asked to be home quarantined, a stamp would be imprinted on their left hand to prevent them from coming to open places. Dubai, US and Saudi Arabia also included in the list of seven countries declared by the Union Government for quarantine.

District administration asked to spend for ventilator and other equipment if needed by availing from local markets.

Visitors not allowed in Mantralaya

Citizens asked to approach district administration by using mails for their grievances and district administration asked to respond to such emails in seven days

Staff from local police stations to be appointed for approaching to those who have been home quarantined

Taking participation of religious leaders and elected representatives for effective implementation of the law for the larger public interest.
