Mumbaikars showcase Gut & Glory at the Devils Circuit
~ The Mumbai edition of Maruti Suzuki Swift Devils Circuit saw over 4500 participants battle it out at the adrenaline-charged obstacle running course~
Mumbai, 21st February 2016: Volano Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. (Volano), India’s leading participative sports firm hosted an exceptional Sunday morning, as over 4500 Mumbaikars participated in the Maruti Suzuki Swift Devils Circuit at the Hiranandani Fortune City, Panvel.
The city was in its full gusto and gave a rousing reception to India’s first and only obstacle run, Maruti Suzuki Swift Devils Circuit, a run across a 5kms long raw terrain interspersed with 15 military style obstacles.The race comprised of two formats: competitive and the non-competitive category focusing on skills such as team-coordination, problem assessment & solving, decision making, leadership skills building overall spirit of a team. The concept allows for everyone to see what they are made off against highly challenging conditions.
The participants experienced unparalleled thrill with innovative challenges placed at strategic points including high net walls, barbed wire, tons and tons of ice and much more. The main attraction from the event was the ‘Brain Freeze’, a challenge full of chills frills and thrills. It is a 10-metre-long and four-and-a-half-ft-deep pit filled with 15 tonnes of ice. These challenges are aimed to test strength, stamina and team work abilities of the participants.
With over 20000 participants having experienced this property in the last four months alone, the Maruti Suzuki SWIFT Devils Circuit has gained momentum from sports & fitness enthusiasts across the country. The Mumbai edition was no exception to this and saw a tide of people step out the comfort of their homes on Sunday morning. Participants also came from different cities who take pride in being a part of the ‘Devils Tribe’ as they love to call it. All editions of Devils Circuit have witnessed participation from individuals across different age groups (16-70) and fitness levels with an incredible 35% representation of women.
In the Men’s competitive category, Mr Sanjay Negi won the first place with Mr Balbir claiming the 2nd place and Mr Jeeva Sujith securing the 3rdrank.
In the Women’s competitive Category, Sneha Desu claimed the 1st place, with Swati Goswami winning 2nd, and Viki Tinklemen as the 3rd.
Participative Sports is still a huge untapped market in our country full of sport enthusiasts. The interest in sports is much higher than the participation owing to lack of the right sort of infrastructure and intent. Co-founded by Adnan Adeeb and Zeba Zaidi, Volano Ent. Pvt.
