Music and dance fiesta to enthrall Punekars this weekend

Pune, November 11, 2019 : With a vision to promote Indian Classical Music and Dance in Pune with aspecial focus on the youth of the city, the Rithwik Foundation (centre for performing arts) along with Tata Projects this weekend will hold two flagshipevents called ‘Swara Prabhat’, where great maestros will present early morning ragas and ‘Melange’- A music and dance festival. The entry for the programs is free of cost and is open for all.

The programs will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Rithwik Foundation, Pune Centre, Behind Vedbhavan, Kothrud. The first event, ‘Swara Prabhat’ will be held at 7 am while Melange will be held at 5 pm.

During ‘Swara Prabhat’ Pt. Shailesh Bhagwat will give a delightful presentation on Shehnai along with renowned vocalist, Pt. Mukul Shivputra, while renowned artists in the field of music anddance will showcase their skills in the evening concert, ‘Melange.’

‘Melange’ will feature International Kathak sensation, Rujuta Soman along with accompanying artists including Satyajeet Talwalkar on Tabla, Manasi Joshi on Harmonium, Mrunmayee Phatakon vocals, Anay Gadgil on Synthesizer and Aboli Thatteon Padhant. The event will also present Pt. Yogesh Samsi on Tabla along with Abhishek Shinkar on Harmonium. The show will conclude with a presentation by Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasiaon Flute who will be accompanied by Pt.Yogesh Samsi on Tabla.

The events, which associated with all the great maestros in the field of music and danceare poised to become the most coveted music and dance festivals in the city.
