Musical program under ‘Swaranaad’ initiative on December 24

Pune, December 20: Punekars will get a chance to witness and enjoy a musical extravaganza under ‘Swaranaad’ initiative, which will be held at Pandit Farms amphi theatre, DP Road, on Saturday December 24 from 6 PM. Entry to the musical program is free on a first come first serve basis.

 

The objective of this initiative organized by Swarazankar Music Academy and Anhadnaad Foundation, is that artists and music-loving communities should come together to appreciate and encourage young talent.

 

The musical program on December 24 will feature performances by Tabla player Aashay Kulkarni and vocalist Rutuja Laad. Aashay, who is the disciple of Talyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, will be accompanied by Abhinay Ravande (Harmonium).

 

Then there will be a performance by classical vocalist Rutuja Laad, a singer of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana and a disciple of Gaanyogini Dhondutai Kulkarni. Laad will be accompanied by Leeladhar Chakradev (Harmonium) and Pranav Gurav (Tabla).

 

The initiative is the brainchild of artists – violin player Rajas Upadhye and vocalist Sanika Kulkarni, who aim to hold several musical concerts in the next one year under it, for the all younger generation artists.
