Nadroop to organise ‘Chaturang ki Chaupal’
Pune, August 29: Completing 30 years of glorious journey, Nadroop, a school of Kathak Dance is organizing a cultural program titled as, ‘Chaturang ki Chaupal’ on Saturday, September 2nd, 7:00pm onwards at Annabhau Sathe Auditorium, Padmavati, Pune.Treating the Punekars with this old and rare form of Indian Classical Music Chaturang which is comprised of four components such as Tarana, Sargam, Sahitya and rhythmic syllables intricately and equally woven together.
Presenting this composition, the artists will perform four Chaturangs which will also include ragas like Yaman, Jaijaywanti, Adana and Bhairavi. In addition, ‘Chaturang Ki Chaupal’ a unique production of Nadroop will also contain Bandish of renowned vocalist Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki, Pt. Rajan Sajan Mishra, Pt. Suresh Talwalkar and Pt. V D Paluskar. Choregraphed by Guru Shama Bhate, the disciple of eminent Kathak Dancer, Teacher and Scholar, Guru Dr. Rohini Bhate the program will have music composed by Kedar Pandit.
Connoisseurs will witness in lead Ketaki Shah, Ameera Patankar, Ragini Nagar, Avani Gadre and Shivani Karmarkar while performing Chaturang and will accompanied by Vinay Ramadasan, Nagesh Adgaonkar, Jaideep Vaidya and Suranjan Khandalkar (Vocal), Charudatta Phadke, Nilesh Randive and Ajinkya Joshi (Tabla), Sukhad Munde (Pakhawaj), Ravi Chary (Sitar), Sandeep Kulkarni (Flute) and Abhishek Borkar (Sarod).
