Nagpur: Nitin Gadkari Inaugurates The Eco Factory Foundation’s Shashwat Bharat Setu – A Path to Net Zero

Nagpur/Pune, 27th February 2024: In a groundbreaking initiative towards sustainability, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated India’s first Shashwat Bharat Setu – Winning Net Zero exhibit, developed by The Eco Factory Foundation (TEFF), in Nagpur on Sunday. The mobile learning and awareness centre aim to educate and inspire individuals, organizations, and communities on adopting sustainable practices to achieve a Net Zero India.

Anand Chordia, the founder of The Eco Factory Foundation, elaborated on various concepts during the inauguration, such as ‘waste to wealth,’ water management, energy conservation, reducing carbon footprint, the importance of circular economy, and achieving sustainability in rural, urban, industrial, and individual sectors.

Gadkari commended the initiative, saying, “Many congratulations to The Eco Factory Foundation for putting up such an exceptional exhibit. The Shashwat Bharat Setu has touched upon very crucial points that will revitalize our environment and, in turn, our planet. The Shashwat Bharat Setu exemplifies the concept of ‘waste to wealth,’ providing sustainable solutions that not only benefit the environment but also create livelihood opportunities for communities.” He expressed hope that the centre would inspire the nation to contribute to making India a Net Zero country.

Anand Chordia, the founder of TEFF, expressed his thoughts on the historic moment, stating, “The development of Shashwat Bharat Setu – Winning Net Zero Exhibit – was driven by our intention to create awareness and inspire everyone to adopt a net-zero and sustainable lifestyle with ease. The Eco Factory Foundation (TEFF), established in 2016, is a Section 8 non-profit organization that focuses on spreading the essence of sustainable lifestyles and solutions across rural, urban, industrial, and individual verticals.
