Narrow Escape: Car Catches Fire On Pune-Satara Road, Quick Action Prevents Disaster
Padmavati, 12th August 2023: An unexpected incident of a car catching fire occurred in the Padmavati area along Pune-Satara road on Saturday night. Prompt action by the car’s driver and a female passenger averted a potential catastrophe as they swiftly exited the vehicle.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and effectively extinguished the blaze; however, the engine was left completely charred. The car was en route from Katraj via Pune-Satara road. The driver, upon noticing smoke emanating from the vehicle near the Padmavati bus stand, prudently maneuvered to the side of the road.
The driver and the passenger acted swiftly, promptly vacating the car just as the flames erupted. The sudden outbreak of fire triggered panic among bystanders and onlookers who had gathered at the scene. Passersby alerted the fire brigade, which rapidly deployed firemen to the location. The fire was subsequently brought under control using water.
