Nashik: Owner Of Ashram Rapes Six Minor Girls, Case Registered
Nashik, 27th November 2022: A case of rape has been registered against the person running an ashram in Nashik, Maharashtra. A person named Herschel More has raped a minor girl. Police investigation and interrogation revealed that he had raped five more girls earlier.
City DCP Kiran Kumar Chavan stated that five separate cases have been registered against the accused Hershel More under the POCSO Act and SC/ST Atrocities Act of IPC.
Nashik Police was informed about this misdeed on Sunday. Police have also recorded statements of other girls living in the Ashram. The statement revealed that the accused had also raped those girls. Deputy Commissioner of Police Kiran Kumar Chavan said that the accused Harshal alias Sonu was interrogated by senior police officers till late Saturday night at Mhasrul police station. Police said that further investigation is going on against the accused.
