National Commission for Women to Hold Public Hearing in Pune 2nd for Pending Complaints

Pune, 27th June 2025: The National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi, will conduct a special public hearing for women’s grievances in Pune on 2nd July, aiming for swift and effective resolution of complaints received at the district and state levels. The event will take place at 12:00 PM in the Pune District Collector’s office, under the chairmanship of NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, according to District Women and Child Development Officer Manisha Biraris.

During the women’s public hearing, around 35 pending complaints from the years 2023, 2024, and 2025, related to Pune Police Commissionerate, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, and Pune Rural Police, will be addressed in the presence of walk-in complainants. The NCW team will begin the preliminary hearing at 12:00 PM, followed by the main session led by the Chairperson at 2:00 PM.

Women complainants are encouraged to attend the hearing in person and present their grievances in writing. District Women and Child Development Officer Manisha Biraris has appealed to all affected women to participate in the session to ensure their issues are heard and addressed efficiently.
