National-Level Hackathon ‘Innovate You Techathon 2024’ Set to Ignite Pune’s Innovation Hub

Pune, 6th January 2024: In a bid to fuel creativity and innovation among students, the ‘Innovate You Techathon 2024,’ a national-level hackathon, is slated to take place in Pune this February. Organized by the Innovation Foundation, accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the event will take place at the AISSM’s Institute of Information Technology, promising prizes exceeding four lakhs.

Kalpesh Yadav, President of the Innovation Foundation, unveiled the objectives of this competition, emphasizing its role as a platform for students in Maharashtra to showcase their inventive ideas.

The poster was officially revealed by Dr. T.G. Sitaraman, AICTE’s Chairman, at their main office in Delhi.

Participants in this hackathon will be tasked to address key societal challenges through technological solutions, spanning agriculture, transportation, environment, education, and healthcare. Yadav emphasized the enticing rewards for the winning students and also assured arranging accommodation facilities for participants.

“The competition is open to engineering students across the country. We appeal to all tech enthusiasts to participate and showcase their innovative skills.” Dr. Pradeep Mane, Principal of the AISSM’s Institute of Information Technology, encouraged aspiring students to participate in huge numbers.

Cash prizes await the winners, with the first-place recipient securing two lakh rupees. Second place earns one lakh, third place receives 75,000, and outstanding participants garner consolation prizes of 25,000 rupees each.

Yadav, leading the Innovation Foundation, aims to establish a prestigious institute for Maharashtra’s students through collaboration with prominent institutions. The foundation’s commitment to financially supporting rural projects is underscored, fostering innovation in these areas. The number of hackathons organized in Maharashtra is comparatively lower than in other parts of the country. Despite that, this competition presents ample sponsorship opportunities. Yadav expressed the foundation’s readiness to provide financial assistance to innovative rural projects.
