National Level Socio-Technical Symposium ‘INNOVISION 2016’ concluded at JSPM’s, Tathawade Campus, Pune

Pune, March 2016: INNOVISION 2016, ‘A Scientific Perspective’, motivated students to develop their social view as well as technical skills through a variety of events and competitions. With the‘Make In India’ vision, Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s group of Institutes had successfully organized ‘INNOVISION 2016’, a National Level Socio-Technical Symposium, for the students of Engineering, Management, Diploma and Pharmacy. More than 5000engineering, Management, Diploma and Pharmacy students from 50 colleges and prestigious institutes across the Nation enthusiastically participated in this event.

This Socio-Technical Symposium was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. N. J. Pawar (Ex. Vice chancellor, Shivaji University, Kolhapur), Dr. Ashok Chavan (Exam Controller – Savitribai Phule Pune University), Dr. D. B. Pedram (Scientist – DRDO Pune), Mr. Amit Parikh (Tata Consultancy Serivices, Pune) and other dignitaries which presided the function were Dr. D. S. Bormane (Principal – RSCOE), Mr. S. L. Bhilare, Mr. Ravi Sawant & Coordinators Innovision-16. Dr. Pawar N. J. emphasized ‘’Students are strength of our country who want to see a change. And they can bring about this change through innovation and innovision is our initiative to help them lead this path.’’

In this symposium, JSPM Group had arranged near about 50+ technical and non-technical competitions. The major attractions of the event were many robotics related competitions likeRobo Race, Robo League, Robo Pac, Line Follower, IC Engine, Just A Minute, Street Play, Model Making, Roadies, Coding Decoding, Google Challenge, Live CS, Tender Filling, Poster Presentation  etc. which attracted students from all the fields. All the events received a huge response from students of all colleges from Pune as well as from all over India mainly from Andhrapadesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Goa etc.

Every year JSPM Group of Institutes works on particular theme which focuses on social issues like – Save Water, Women Empowerment, Anti-Superstition, and Environmental Awareness. This time“Make in India” was the theme of Innovision-2016, where young generation, which is major part of our society, acted as a tool to present their innovative ideas for building the dream India. In accordance with this theme they had arranged special events like Robo Race, Lathe War, Google Challenge and many other events where students suggested the solutions to nation.
