Nationalist Student Congress raised fund for severely injured student of SPPU

Pune 2nd Nov 2018 : Nationalist Student Congress of Savitribai Phule Pune University(SPPU) branch raised fund upto 2.25lakh for Bahiru Kis an Gawari, who was met with an accident and badly injured while going to his home.
Bahiru Kisan Gawari, who is second year student of Department of Library and information science of SPPU. The accident was so horrific that his spinal cord was fractured and many injuries on body he was in ICU for some days.
As per the provision of student insurance he was supposed to get only ₹50000 which was not enough at all and he is economically also poor so Nationalist student congress started to raise the fund and appealed through different initiatives, said Somnath Lohar, President, of SPPU branch.
A delegation met with Dr Nitin Karmarkar, Vice Chancellor of SPPU under the guidance of Abhishek Boke, senate member to allocate maximum possible fund from student insurance.
Vice chancellor agreed to give ₹1lakh and collection from professors and students they could manage upto ₹1.25kakh and total ₹2.25 lakh amount which was handed over to Bahiru Gawari ‘s family, he is still hospitalized but out of danger and will recover soon said Somnath Lohar. In delegation Munna Arade, Rushi Jagdale, shivraj kumbhar, vijayraj Bhanavase, Raju pokale, Malappa koli, Raju Sukale were also present.
