Navodaya Vidyalaya Begins Admission Process for Class 6 for 2026-27 Session; Apply Online by July 29
New Delhi, 4th June 2025: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has released the official notification inviting applications for admission to Class 6 for the academic session 2026–27. The online application process started on June 2, 2025, and will continue until July 29, 2025. Interested parents can apply for their children through the official website navodaya.gov.in or via the direct link provided for registration.

- JNV Selection Test (Phase 1): December 13, 2025
- JNV Selection Test (Phase 2): April 11, 2026
Eligibility Criteria
- Only students who have passed Class 5 during the academic session 2025–26 are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must be born between May 1, 2014 and July 31, 2016 (both dates inclusive).
- At least 75% of the seats will be filled by students from rural areas as per NVS guidelines.
How to Apply
- Visit the official NVS website: navodaya.gov.in.
- Click on the pop-up link that redirects to the admission portal: cbseitms.rcil.gov.in/nvs.
- On the new page, click on “Click here for Registration for Class VI JNVST (2026-27)”.
- Fill in all the required details carefully.
- After submission, click on “Click Here to Print Registration Form” and keep a copy for future reference.
