Mumbai, 22nd November 2022: India’s official entry for the 95th Academy Awards, ‘Chhello Show’, will be made available to Netflix users from Friday (November 25). On October 14, a movie in Gujarati with the English title ‘Last Film Show’ debuted in Indian theatres. Pan Nalin’s semi-autobiographical coming-of-age drama follows nine-year-old Samay as he moves heaven and earth in quest of his 35mm aspirations while being unconscious of the sad moments that will soon befall him.

Nalin expressed his happiness in working with Netflix to promote the movie to a broader audience. “Last Film Show is a celebration of movies, food, friends, and family, and now viewers in India can do just that while watching it in the comfort of their homes.”

The director said in a statement, “As a filmmaker, I wish that the movie reaches the widest audience possible, and today, thanks to Netflix, Last Film Show is just a click away.”

The Roy Kapur Films producer Siddharth Roy Kapur expressed the team’s happiness that Chhello Show had found a home on Netflix India. On the streamer, the movie will also be available with Hindi dubbing.

Several prominent film festivals, including Tribeca and the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema, have nominated and screened Chhello Show. At the most recent Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles, it was also named best film.

At the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, it will have a special screening.
