New Express Train Between Pune and Jodhpur to Enhance Connectivity: Inaugural Run on May 3
Pune, 2nd May 2025: In a move to boost inter-state connectivity and offer greater travel convenience, the Pune Division of Central Railway has announced the launch of a new express train service between Hadapsar (Pune) and Jodhpur. The inaugural run of the train will commence this Saturday, May 3.
Inaugural Special Service Details
Train No. 01401 Hadapsar (Pune) – Jodhpur Inaugural Special will depart from Hadapsar at 5:30 PM on May 3 and reach Jodhpur at 2:00 PM the following day. The return journey, Train No. 01402 Jodhpur – Hadapsar (Pune) One-Way TOD Special, will operate on Sunday, May 4, departing from Jodhpur at 8:30 PM and arriving in Pune at 5:00 PM on May 5.
List of Halts
The new express train will halt at key stations along its route, including Chinchwad, Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Pindwara, Jawai Bandh, Falna, Rani, Marwar, Pali Marwar, and Luni.
Coach Composition
The train will comprise a total of 16 coaches:
1 AC 2-Tier coach
4 AC 3-Tier Economy coaches
5 Sleeper Class coaches
4 General Second Class coaches
1 Generator Car
1 Luggage-cum-Guard’s Brake Van
Booking and Ticketing Information
Advance booking for Train No. 01401 opens on Friday, May 2, at 4:00 PM across all computerized reservation centers and the IRCTC website. Tickets for unreserved coaches will be available through the UTS mobile app at standard fares applicable for Superfast Mail/Express trains.
The Central Railway’s initiative is expected to benefit passengers traveling between Maharashtra and Rajasthan, offering a direct, comfortable, and timely travel option.
