New WhatsApp Update: Users Can Enable Low-Light Mode to Improve Video Call Quality with Background Options and New Filters
New Delhi, 6th November 2024: WhatsApp, Meta’s popular messaging app, has introduced a new feature to enhance the video calling experience—Low-Light Mode. This new mode helps improve video quality during calls in poor lighting conditions by reducing brightness and minimizing graininess in the video feed. In addition to this, new filters and background options have also been added to video calling on WhatsApp.
Activating WhatsApp’s Low-Light Mode is simple. Users can enable this feature with just a toggle, making it easier to enjoy better video calls in low-light environments.
Here are the steps to enable Low-Light Mode:
1. Open WhatsApp on your phone.
2. Start a WhatsApp video call.
3. Tap on the video feed to open it in full screen.
4. Click on the bulb icon at the top to enable Low-Light Mode.
To disable the feature, simply click the bulb icon again. This update has been rolled out for both Android and iOS users. However, it is not yet available for the desktop version. It’s important to note that users will need to manually enable Low-Light Mode for each call.
