New Year Eve: Hotels, Restaurants To Close At 10.45 PM In Pune Today

Pune, December 31, 2020: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Vikram Kumar has appealed to Puneites to have a low key New Year’s celebration to bid adieu to 2020 on December 31, 2020 and January 1, 2021. The civic administration has requested citizens to avoid stepping out on the new year’s eve and the following day to stay protected from the virus.

The advisory states:
-Have a low key New Year celebration at home. Avoid stepping out on December 31,2020 and January 1, 2021.
-Citizens above 60 years old and children below 10 years old should avoid going outside home.
-Avoid crowding at public places like parks, grounds, tourism places in the PMC jurisdiction. Maintain social distancing, wear masks, use sanitisers while visiting these places on December 31.
-All hotels, food courts, restaurants and bars, home delivery services in the PMC limits will be closed at 10.45 pm.
-Many visit to their respective religious places to worship God on the occasion of the New Year. It has been advised that citizens should ensure social distancing, no crowding, and all required measures to be taken with concern to cleanliness and health at the place.
-Avoid fireworks. Follow noise pollution rules strictly.
