No Toll for Ganeshotsav Journey to Konkan, Pune RTO to Issue Passes
Pune, 11st September 2026: The Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) will issue toll exemption passes to vehicles carrying Ganesh devotees travelling to and returning from Konkan during the festival period.
The Maharashtra government, through a circular issued on September 8, announced toll exemption for vehicles of Ganesh devotees as well as Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses travelling to and from Konkan. The exemption will be applicable from September 11 to September 27.
Devotees seeking the passes will have to submit valid vehicle documents, including the registration certificate, driving licence, tax certificate, insurance, fitness certificate, PUC certificate and transport permit, wherever applicable, the RTO said in a statement.
The passes will be issued at the Pune RTO office on Dr Ambedkar Road, near Sangam Bridge, during office hours. The facility will remain available on working days as well as holidays throughout the exemption period.
Devotees can also obtain the passes from the Alandi Road and Dive offices under RTO Pune on working days.
