Pune, 13th April 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced that water supply will remain suspended across the city on Thursday (April 16) due to urgent repair and maintenance works.

According to the civic body’s water supply department, the shutdown will be in effect for the entire day, from midnight on Wednesday to midnight on Thursday. The decision has been taken to carry out critical repair and maintenance works at multiple water treatment plants and pumping stations.

The works will include electrical, pumping and civil repairs at key facilities such as the old and new Parvati water treatment plants, Khadakwasla jackwell, and centres at Warje, Vadgaon and Lashkar. As a result, most parts of the city will not receive water supply during this period.

PMC officials said that water supply is likely to resume on Friday (April 17), though it may be delayed and at low pressure. The civic body has urged residents to store adequate water in advance and cooperate with the administration.
