Now All Senior Pune City Police Officers Allotted Official Mobile Number

Pune, November 20, 2019: To bridge the communication gap between people and senior police officers, the Pune City Police have provided permanent mobile phone numbers of all the police stations in-charge, divisional Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham came out with this idea and accordingly 45 handsets, memory cards and SIM cards were purchased and allotted to the senior police inspector in-charge of each of the 30 police stations, 10 divisional ACPs, and 5 Zonal DCPs. If people are not satisfied with the solution to their grievances provided by constables and junior officers, they can take up the matter with senior police officers.
Based on instructions of the Police Commissioner Venkatesham, DCP (headquarters) Virendra Mishra, ACP Sunil Deshmukh procured the mobile phones and accessories and distributed them among the officers.
