Now Arogya Setu To Show Vaccination Status, Help People Travel Anywhere In The Country

Baroda, 1st June 2021: The Covid-19 contact tracing app of India- Arogya Setu, has introduced a new feature that enables vaccinated people to travel anywhere in the country; the app can now display the vaccination status of an individual by displaying a blue shield and ticks for people who have been injected with both doses (completely vaccinated) while those who have received just the first dose (partially vaccinated) will get a single tick.

After fourteen days of receiving the second dose, the user will be given blue ticks and a shield on their Arogya Setu profile. Before granting the ticks or shield to the user, the vaccination status will be verified on the CoWIN digital platform. Those who have received just a single dose will be granted a single tick along with a single blue border with vaccination status on their home screen on the app logo.

The app also allows its user to ‘Update the Vaccination Status’ so that they can update their vaccination status to partially vaccinated (if taken a single dose) or completely vaccinated (if taken both doses)

Arogya Setu was initially launched by the government of India, to trace the people infected with the Covid-19. It was also used to understand if the user was residing in a high-risk area. Over the period of time, the app has been updated with more features.
