Now Flight Operations Allowed Between Pune and Kolkata

Pune August 28, 2020: The Kolkata airport has allowed flight operations from Pune and five other destinations to Kolkata with some conditions from September.



The state government of Kolkata had extended the ban on direct flights coming to Kolkata from six cities due to the coronavirus till August 31. This was the third time when the government had taken a decision to ban the flights. The first decision was till July 31, while the second was till August 15.



The West Bengal government had said that due to the coronavirus, the ban on flights to Kolkata coming from six cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chennai and Ahmedabad.



As per a tweet by Kolkata Airport, “Flights from six cities viz Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune and Nagpur will be allowed in limited manner from September. They will be allowed on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday during 1st and 2nd week of September.”



“Flights from six cities viz Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune and Nagpur will be allowed in Kolkata on Monday, Wednesday and Friday during 3rd and 4th week of September. Passengers are requested to check further schedule with concerned Airline,” mentioned in two tweets.




“Complete lockdown will be observed in West Bengal on 7th, 11th & 12th September 2020. As per the State Govt. directives no flight operations will be scheduled on these days from Kolkata Airport,” mentioned in another tweet.
