It opens the door for Innovation and Job Creation said, Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India.

He was invited as the chief guest for the 11th Annual International Research Conference “SIMSARC’20” organized by Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune. The program was held under the umbrella of the Symbiosis Golden Jubilee Lecture Series.

Going with the theme of the conference, “Achieving $5 Trillion Economy of India: Opportunities and Challenges”, Anurag Singh Thakur, said that “COVID 19 has disrupted the supply chain and hampered business models. For the strong revival of the Indian economy, structural reforms are a must”. He further elaborated the steps taken to stabilize all-important macroeconomic indicators – Annual Growth Rate, GDP, FOREX, FDI, Inflation, Employment, Total Savings, Technological Advancements, Fiscal Deficit; which will push India as the formidable force it is.

During his speech, Thakur mentioned that in the global market now India is the preferred destination for investment. India is the place to execute any new Idea. It is the place where double-digit growth is assured for any business. Government’s mission is to make our country as Manufacturing and Export Power House also develop our country as a hub of the largest skilled workforce by developing our youth a future-ready, he added further.

“India will see the year 2020 as a year of historic reforms, tectonic transformations and an opportunity in the wake of adversity”. The Member of Parliament also advocated the 4 pillars of the residing government which are ‘Reboot, Reform, Resurge, and Reset’ which will offer India the opportunity to become a global engine of power.

Dr SB Mujumdar, founder and president of Symbiosis, Dr Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis International University, Dr Rajani Gupte, Vice-Chancellor, SIU were present for the Conference. Brig. (Dr.) Rajiv Divekar, Director, Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) was the Conference Chairperson, and Dr Arti Chandani was the Conference Convener.
