Now Pune Police Parade Criminals At Chowky Level To Combat Crime

Pune, 2nd May 2024: After taking charge of Pune City Police in February, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar ordered the parade of notorious goons at the CP office. Senior officers from Crime Branch were seen ‘counselling’ the known criminals. Videos of the program had gone viral on social media.
Taking the initiative closer home of the historysheeters, now such parades are being organised at the police Chowky and police station levels.

“Criminals with records of committing crimes in the last five years are being called for the parade. They are being warned and asked to submit good behaviour bonds”, an officer said.
