On Independence Day, GGIS initiates project ‘Forest’

PUNE- On the auspicious occasion of 72nd Independence Day, Geol Ganga International School initiated a project named ‘GGIS Forest’. Under the project, school will plant more than 700 plants in coming months, mainly trees like Pipal, Banyan, Mango, in an open plot owned by the school. The students and every member will be made responsible to safeguard and nurture it, informed Bharti Bhagwani, Principal, GGIS.
On the occasion, first sapling was planted at the hands of the Chief Guest Col. K.T. Kuriakose, Dy GM, Manufacturing Group of Army Base Workshop. Earlier, he unfurled the Flag and addressed the students sharing his life experiences of tiring times and ways to overcome it.
‘How to use our natural resources and conserve it is our main motto to initiate our project Forest on Independence Day. With such practical initiatives students learns life lessons which stays with them for long, opined Sonu Gupta, Trustee GGIS.
