One more person found Coronavirus positive, now 32nd case in Pune district

Pune, March 26, 2020: One more person has been found Coronavirus positive in Pune today and with this, the total number of cases has increased to 32 in Pune district.

20 are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) jurisdiction and 12 are from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) limit.
The first case in the city was detected on March 9. Till now five persons have been discharged from hospital after being cured.

The 32nd case is from Sahakarnagar. The 40-year-old man was admitted in the hospital on March 20 for treatment of liver. However, his condition was deteriorating and his samples were sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune. The report indicated he is Coronavirus positive. He does not have foreign travel history.

To prevent the spread of Coronavirus, the statewide lockdown has been imposed. People are not allowed to gather and vehicle movement is also restricted.

The total cases in Maharashtra have reached 126 and four of them have died.
