Over 2 Lakh Candidates Appear for NEET PG 2024 Nationwide
New Delhi, 11th August 2024: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, successfully conducted the NEET PG 2024 exam today. The examination took place at 416 centres across 170 cities and was organized in two shifts on the same day to utilize the best and most reputable facilities.
A total of 2,28,540 candidates received admit cards from NBEMS, with efforts made to allocate examination centres within the candidates’ respective states whenever possible. To ensure the exam proceeded smoothly, NBEMS established a central command centre at its Dwarka Office in Delhi. The examination was closely monitored by officials from the Union Health Ministry, the Governing Body of NBEMS, and the Executive Director of NBEMS, along with their respective teams.
To maintain the integrity and smooth conduct of the exam, more than 1,950 independent appraisers and 300 members of flying squads were deployed at the various examination centres. Additionally, eight regional command centres were set up to oversee the administration of the exam nationwide.
NBEMS also took steps to counter misinformation by monitoring social media platforms and ensuring that accurate and reliable information was provided to all stakeholders. The heightened security measures and effective coordination between various agencies contributed to the safe and successful completion of the NEET PG 2024 exam.
