Hyderabad, 4th June 2025: The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, has taken cognizance of a complaint filed by the Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) against Hyderabad-based Brane Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. for alleged non-payment of salaries and serious labour law violations.

In an official communication, the office of the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) has directed the Labour Commissioner of Telangana to initiate appropriate action under applicable labour laws. This directive follows the complaint submitted by NITES on March 14, 2025, which included detailed documentation of alleged financial mismanagement, statutory non-compliance, and unethical employment practices by the company.

Harpreet Singh Saluja, President of NITES, stated, “Over 3,000 employees have been impacted, with Brane Enterprises withholding salaries amounting to more than ₹17.55 crore. The company abruptly terminated employees, failed to clear dues, and misled staff with repeated false promises.”

Saluja further alleged that the firm deducted Provident Fund (PF) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) from salaries without depositing the amounts with the appropriate government authorities. “This has created severe legal and financial complications for the affected employees,” he said.

The complaint also highlighted the company’s links to Ramalinga Raj, a figure previously convicted in one of India’s largest corporate fraud cases, raising further concerns about the credibility and governance of Brane Enterprises.

The Ministry’s action instructs the state labour authority to conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter and keep both the complainant and the central government informed of the developments.

“This move marks a significant step towards ensuring accountability and justice for the affected employees who have endured immense financial and emotional stress due to the company’s conduct,” Saluja added.
