Palkhi Seva’ Initiative Conducted by Rotaract District 3131; Service Extended to Over 1000 Warkaris
Pune, 27th June 2025: The Community Service Avenue of Rotaract District 3131 successfully organized a social initiative titled ‘Palkhi Seva’ on 21st July 2025. This initiative was held against the backdrop of the Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage, with the intention of providing support and services to the Warkaris (pilgrims).
As part of this initiative, over 1000 Warkaris were provided with drinking water, light refreshments, and medical assistance. Additionally, a free medical check-up camp was set up under the guidance of Dr. Gauri Joshi and Dr. Anita Kirloskar, where around 400 Warkaris were examined and offered essential primary treatment.
The event was graced by several esteemed office bearers of Rotaract District 3131, including DRRE Dwijesh Nashikkar, District General Secretary-Elect Niharika Chaturvedi, District Treasurer Sattyajeet it Karale Patil, District Community Service Director Aryan Devne, and Co-Community Service Director Sakshi Undegaonkar. Numerous members from various Rotaract clubs also actively participated in this noble initiative.
Through this initiative, Rotaract District 3131 once again underlined its commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian service. By providing healthcare and assistance to Warkaris during their spiritual journey, the district successfully translated the ideals of Rotary into meaningful on-ground action.
