Paranjape Schemes “Athashri Foundation” celebrated with gusto on occasion of International Women’s Day
Pune, March 15, 2016: ‘Athashri Foundation’ of Paranjape Schemes (Construction) Ltd. in association with ASCOP (Association Of Senior Citizen Organization Of Pune) celebrated International Women’s Day at Karnataka High School in Erandawane, Pune recently.
The celebrations began with the lamp lighting ceremony followed by Ganesh Vandana. Women from various senior citizens groups of ASCOP & Athashri performed cultural programs which were enjoyed by the audience thoroughly. On this occasion, Athashri Foundation felicitated Anjali Raje, Arati Sonagra, Manda Naik, Jayamala Buttepatil, Saroj Deshpande and Dr. Padmashree Patil from various fields for their immense contribution to society.
The occasion was graced by 94 years old Smt. Vimal Rangnekar, well-known social worker. Mr. Sudesh Khatawkar, Executive Director, Athashri Foundation, Mr. & Mrs. Pawar, Dr. Wazarka of ASCOP and Kiran Shinde of MDPL were present during this program.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Smt. Vimal Rangnekar said, “It is a great initiative taken by Paranjape Schemes and Athashri Foundation. Women are architects of our society and we salute all these wonderful women of society for playing such important roles in our lives and making it even more beautiful.” Talking about Athashri she further added, “It is not an old age home but a great initiative by Paranjape Schemes to ensure that senior citizens lead a worry-free, independent and luxurious life.”
