Pune, 14th December 2023: In a dramatic turn of events, two individuals, including Amol Dhanraj Shinde from Maharashtra, broke into the Lok Sabha during the ongoing winter session yesterday, creating a stir by breaking a smoke pipe. Shinde and his companions, who burst smoke bombs and raised slogans outside the Parliament, staged a symbolic protest highlighting the issue of unemployment. As a response to the incident, Pune-based lawyer Adv Asim Sarode has announced his intention to provide legal assistance to Amol Shinde.

Amol Shinde, a resident of Latur district, reportedly left his home, informing his family that he was going for police recruitment. Fueled by concerns about unemployment, Shinde and his companions executed a plan to draw attention to the issue by entering the Lok Sabha. Following the incident, the police have detained Amol Shinde, and an ongoing investigation is underway.

Adv Sarode, explaining his decision to offer legal assistance, emphasized that while the Bhagat Singh-style protest may not be suitable for democracy, it is essential to understand the underlying issue of unemployment raised by Shinde. Adv. Sarode stated that if Shinde’s intention was not to harm anyone but to draw attention to the issue of unemployment, then the focus should be on addressing the problem rather than criminalizing the act.

Adv. Sarode expressed the view that Shinde should be given a positive response by making him aware of the inappropriate path chosen for protest. He argued that Shinde, a 25-year-old from Latur, entered Parliament due to unemployment, and it is crucial to differentiate between a symbolic protest and criminal intent. Sarode questioned the efficacy of the MPs in Parliament, suggesting that beating MPs has failed to address the issue of unemployment. He urged for a more understanding and empathetic approach towards the challenges faced by the unemployed youth.

Meanwhule, the Delhi Police have charged the accused youths under the anti-terror Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
