Patna’s Indigo Manager Murder Case Unsolved: Sushil Modi meets Rupesh’s family, daughter says – Mummy will shoot the murderer
Patna, January 15, 2021: “Uncle, if the one who killed Papa is caught, then the let Mummy shoot him, please”, said the agitated 8-year-old daughter of Rupesh to ex-Deputy CM Sushil Modi. No concrete progression can be seen in the investigation of Indigo’s station manager Rupesh Singh’s murder, in Patna. Sushil Modi visited Rupesh’s family in his native village Sanwari Bakshiji.
Emotional Sushil Modi embraces Rupesh’s daughter: Aaradhya, Rupesh’s daughter, said to Sushil Modi, “I will not cry. Mom is crying over the fact that Dad used to help people day and night, and I wonder why was he shot? Orphaned me, my brother, and my mother.”
Sushil Modi, struck with emotion, embraced her. Sushil Modi promised that a fast investigation is going on in this case and soon the killers will be caught by the police. He also tied Rupesh’s father Shiva. He said that the speedy trial would be conducted to get the punishment soon.
Rupesh’s wife Neetu wept bitterly upon meeting Sushil Modi. She admitted that she will never be able to rest easy. She said that the daughter studied in Patna’s Natredam Academy and son in Radiant Public School.
Rupesh’s brothers Nandeshwar Singh and Dinesh Kumar Singh asked Modi to bring the convicts to justice and a guarantee of a job for the wife and children, so that their future can be easier. Nandeshwar Singh has urged a CBI inquiry into the matter.
Rupesh was killed on January 12: On January 12, 2021, Rupesh was shot down by some people close to the secretariat. Rupesh was in his car at that time. He was first shot from a distance and then from a close range. There were bullets on the arms and chest. Police are also searching for the killers through CCTV footage. According to reports, some important clues have been unearthed, but the police remain mum about it, as this may affect the investigation. 200 people have been questioned. The motive for the murder has not been revealed yet.
