PCMC: 4 new COVID patients today; part of Kiwale, Rahatani sealed

Pimpri, May 15, 2020: Four new Coronavirus positive patients were detected in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area till 7.24 pm today taking the total number of COVID patients to 187. The new patients are residents of Rahatani and Vikasnagar in Dehu Road and Kiwale.

According to PCMC, out of a total of 187 patients, 117 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while four have lost their lives. There are still 66 active patients who are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Out of 27 Pune residents admitted in YCM hospital, Pimpri, eight have died while nine have been cured. There are still 10 admitted in the hospital. Today three Pune residents, a 60-year-old woman, a 38-year-old man and a 50-year-old man, died while four others were found COVID positive. The new patients are from Khadki, Yerwada and Ghorpade Peth.

The sealed part of Rahatani includes the area in front of Nandu Jadhav Udyan – Bhikoba Tambe School – Namrata Crystal Park Society. In Kiwale- Vikasnagar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk – Main Road – Ganesh Mandir – Vaman Smriti Society – Suman Mangal Kendra and Srinagar Road were sealed.
