PCMC: 592 new COVID cases in Pimpri Chinchwad today, 219 discharged
Pimpri, July 19, 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 592 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 219 people got discharged from hospitals while 12 people died today. The report is for the period between 7 pm July 18 to 6 pm July 19 (today).
According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 11038 out of which 6699 have been cured while 197 have died. 3109 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 260 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC. Till now 57 non-PCMC residents have died while 522 have been cured.
In Maharashtra, a total of 3906 patients were discharged while 9518 new Covid-19 cases were reported today. 258 COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state is 3,10,455. As of today, there are 1,28,730 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 54.62% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.82%.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,077,618 across the country. Out of this, 677,422 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 26,816 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 373,379 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
