PCMC: 950 new COVID cases, 25 deaths reported today in Pimpri Chinchwad

Pimpri, 16 August 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 950 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 604 people got discharged from hospitals while 25 people died today.

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 35,397 out of which 24,981 have recovered while 624 have died. 5204 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 445 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 127 have died and 1428 have been cured.

Across Maharashtra, 8,837 people got discharged from hospitals while 11,111 new cases and 288 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 5,95,865 out of which 4,17,123 people have recovered and 20,037 have died. There are 1,58,395 active cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,589,682 across the country. Out of this, 1,862,258 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 49,980 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 677,444 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
