Pimpri-Chinchwad, January 29, 2021: The graph of coronavirus infections in Pimpri-Chinchwad city finally shows a considerable drop in numbers. As a result, the previously strict rules in the city see their noose loosening a tad bit.

Wearing masks while traveling in a four-wheeler with one’s family will not be not mandatory. This concession is for private vehicles only and the persons traveling in it should be of the driver’s family. It is mandatory to wear a mask if the driver has been hired.

The order has been issued by the PCMC in-charge Commissioner Suhas Divase. During the Corona period, wearing a mask was made compulsory. At present, the number of corona patients is declining. Therefore, the rules surrounding COVID-19 are becoming lenient. The rules for wearing a mask while traveling in a vehicle have been changed.

According to Divase, traveling in a four-wheeler with family in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area does not mandate a mask. However, this concession is for private vehicles only and applies only if the driver is part of the family traveling in it.

The Commissioner’s circular states, “The use of the mask will be mandatory if the driver is not from family or other persons are travelling together with a family member.”
