PCMC to hand over 15 COVID Care Centres to private hospitals

Pimpri, August 13, 2020: Considering the coronavirus outbreak, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has decided to handover 15 COVID Care Centres (CCC) to private hospitals and institutions so there will be no shortage of workforce and facilities for treatment of patients in future.

“The decision has been well-received by private entities, which will help patients to get the correct diagnosis and timely treatment. 150 doctors, nurses, and other workforce of these 15 centres will now be available at other dedicated COVID hospitals of the municipality”, PCMC said.

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 31643 out of which 22005 have recovered while 525 have died. 6130 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 465 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 117 have died and 1262 have been cured.
